STUTTGART (dpa-AFX) – The organizers of the travel fair CMT have drawn a positive interim balance. A very good number of visitors is expected, said the Managing Director of Messe Stuttgart, Roland Bleinroth, on Friday in Stuttgart. The value will probably be above the average of the last five travel fairs before the corona pandemic. Bleinroth did not want to name a concrete interim status. However, a record value like 2020 is not to be expected. At that time, around 300,000 people came to the exhibition center for the CMT.
The world’s largest public trade fair for tourism and leisure, according to its own statements, opened its doors again on January 14 after the Corona break. According to the organizer, 80,000 people visited the fair on the first weekend. More than 1600 exhibitors will present themselves on around 120,000 square meters until Sunday. In 2021 the fair took place digitally, in 2022 it was completely canceled./rwi/DP/nas
