Zelensky was assured that Ukraine has the resources to continue defending Bakhmut from the invaders.
Ukraine and the Armed Forces have enough resources to defend Bakhmut.
This was stated by the adviser to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podolyak in an interview Le Figaro.
“Today, we still have enough resources to hold on there. We can also conduct small counter-offensives in the vicinity. But tactical changes must take place,” Podolyak said.
According to him, the decision of the Ukrainian commanders to stay in Bakhmut is based on the available resources, their delivery to the military, the risks for the defenders and the strategic importance of the held objective.
“The perception of the reality of the situation in Bakhmut is also influenced by the media’s attitude towards it: according to the Russian media, the city has already been taken,” Podolyak added.
We will remind, the expert emphasized that every Ukrainian defender who defends Bakhmut today lays the foundation for Ukraine’s future offensive.
