DRESDEN/BERLIN (dpa-AFX) – Saxony’s Interior Minister Armin Schuster considers the establishment of a crisis team in the Chancellery necessary in view of possible gas bottlenecks in winter. “In order to ensure coordination with the federal states and the various departments of the federal government, the crisis team in the Chancellery, which existed for the corona pandemic, should actually be revived,” said the CDU politician of the German Press Agency on Sunday.
It is also important for the federal states to receive “probable scenarios” for an energy shortage situation this winter from Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (Greens) or the Federal Network Agency, which reports to him on energy issues. This is necessary in order to be able to plan regional measures to protect the population.
