BONN (dpa-AFX) – At Deutsche Post, the collective bargaining between employers and Verdi will continue this Friday after a clear vote on a strike. In a ballot, 85.9 percent of those surveyed rejected the postal tariff offer and voted for an indefinite strike, as Verdi announced on Thursday. This clearly exceeded the quorum of 75 percent.
The union wants to resume the negotiations, which it declared had failed and thus broken off in February, and return to the negotiating table. This is in line with Deutsche Post’s demands, said Verdi negotiator Andrea Kocsis.
